A story of creativity, human connection, and a deep love and respect for India. Established in 2023, our mission is to honour and celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage along with the stories, skill and legacy of its artisans.
About
Lupur emerged from Lucinda Lee-Warner's deep affection for India's people, culture, and diversity. Growing up with parents who shared a love for India meant childhood visits and a home adorned with Indian textiles and furnishings, sparking a love for the country and its culture, and an appreciation for the beauty of Indian design from an early age. Since finishing school a decade ago, Lucinda has returned to India at every opportunity to continue immersing herself in the enriching way of life. Lucinda now travels from the Riverina, NSW, to Jaipur, to collaborate closely with the skilled artisans involved in bringing the magic to life.
Slow, Artful & Inspired
Our pieces, designed in the Riverina, blend elegant silhouettes with Indian design, showcasing craftsmanship with a contemporary feel. Our colour palette is drawn from Australia’s natural landscapes, with prints inspired by the historical wall art found in India’s streets, temples, and architecture.
Building meaningful relationships with our artisans and colleagues is at the heart of everything we do, and we collaborate closely with small family-run businesses in Jaipur. We embrace the value of handmade craftsmanship, allowing us to create thoughtfully made pieces while caring for people and the environment, minimising waste and celebrating the skill of our artisans.
Every element of our brand draws inspiration from the incredible world of India, and we aspire for the wearer to feel the love and legacy infused into every design.
